Owned by Mike Shawe of One Love fame, this shop is well laid out with two listening posts. A fairly hefty selection of records can be found on the shelves, concerned mainly with house and techno, plus some classics.

Replay

Situated in Haymarket by the coach station, both Replay and Replay Dance host a large selection of vinyl. Replay Dance is owned by James Savage from One Love, and the shop has a good, well laid out selection of drum and bass, techno and house, and some happy hardcore.

Breakbeat Culture

The shop's club night, by the same name, recently came up second in Muzik's top national club nights. As the name suggest, the shelves are lined with breakbeat orientated tunes - drum and bass, hardcore, hiphop and beaty stuff. Find it behind Cooshti clothes shop.

Eat the Beat

Next to the Marz Bar, by St Nicholas Market. It lacks the huge stocks that Replay and Bang Bang boast, however the friendly atmosphere and attitude of owners Jon and Jez compensate for this. Drum and Bass and deep house are the shop's fortes, with a host of local djs shopping here. The shop is also soon to have a seperate coffee shop.

Giant

A stone's throw from Bang Bang and Purple Penguin, Giant has tidy shelves, clearly marking out each genre. Drum and Bass, techno and house are the best stocked tunes here, each being divided into specific categories.

Purple Penguin

Perhaps more famous for the Purple Penguin group, the shop is a goldmine for the headz, and has a great selection of hiphop,breakbeat and drum and bass, as well as lots of rare groove, funk and jazz.

Imperial

Opposite Breakbeat Culture on Park Street. A less dance orientated shop, however it has awide range of 12" and albums, especially drum n bass and house, as well as a good second hand section.
